Boyd County faced Blazer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Tomcats. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 14 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Boyd County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Blazer, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 31-6.

As of now, neither Boyd County nor the Tomcats have any future games scheduled.
