Basketball Recap: Attica Takes a Loss

Attica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 52-39 to the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves.

Despite the loss, Attica still got an impressive performance from DeCarlos Rudy, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Rudy is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Caiden Ashley, who posted ten points.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Attica will square off against North Vermillion at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. North Vermillion will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Attica surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they will take on Indiana School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Providence Cristo Rey is facing Indiana School for the Deaf at the right time seeing as Indiana School for the Deaf is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
