Eagle River and Bartlett are an even 4-4-2 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. Wolves will host the Golden Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eagle River will be strutting in after a victory while Bartlett will be coming in after a loss.

Eagle River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Bettye Davis East Anchorage, who was ranked 21st at the time (Eagle River was ranked 14th). Wolves' defense stepped up to hand the Thunderbirds a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. Eagle River's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

They hit Bettye Davis East Anchorage with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kelsey Momblow (2), Ellie Johnson, and Madalyn Portell.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bartlett's offense. They lost 22-0 to South Anchorage on Tuesday.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Eagle River, their win bumped their record up to 3-6-1.

Everything went Eagle River's way against Bartlett in their previous matchup back in April, as Eagle River made off with a 4-0 victory. Do Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
