Softball Recap: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Takes a Loss

Saint Stephen's Episcopal managed to slip by Cardinal Mooney the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons came up short against the Cardinal Mooney Cougars on Thursday, falling 12-2. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abbie Eanet, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cardinal Mooney, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Stephen's Episcopal will venture away from home to challenge Lakeside Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Saint Stephen's Episcopal surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cardinal Mooney, they are taking a road trip to square off against Booker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cardinal Mooney's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Booker's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
