Recap: Phil Campbell Bobcats vs. Dora Bulldogs
The Phil Campbell Bobcats fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Dora Bulldogs on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 60-53 to the Bulldogs.
It was another big night for Bella Reese, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds for Dora. Reese is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ja'laya Harris was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Phil Campbell has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Dora, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Phil Campbell will be home for the holidays to greet Marion County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Marion County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Phil Campbell in Alabama (Marion County is ranked 86th, while Phil Campbell is ranked 225th). Dora will take on Belgreen in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at. Belgreen will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
