Softball Game Preview: Millville Thunderbolts vs. Cedar Creek Pirates

The Millville Thunderbolts will square off against the Cedar Creek Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Millville came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Vineland by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their meetings with the Fighting Clan: they've now lost four in a row.

Kendall Mazur was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Isabella Musey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Cedar Creek came up short against Egg Harbor Township on Monday, falling 14-4.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Millville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
