Volleyball Recap: Saline Hornets vs. Dexter Dreadnaughts

Saline lost against Dexter back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dreadnaughts. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dreadnaughts 25-11 in the first set.

Saline actually scored more points across those four sets (90-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.

Sarina Wisniewski had an outrageously good game for Dexter as she had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Wisniewski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Halle Perkins, who had nine digs and one assist.

Saline's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Dexter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-1-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Saline and Huron will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Dexter, they will look to defend their home court on the 25th against Bedford at 7:00 p.m.
