Softball Recap: Conneaut Area Comes Up Short

Conneaut Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cathedral Prep Ramblers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ramblers earlier this season, when they won 16-4.

Emma Fuller led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carmen Bowman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Conneaut Area now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Cathedral Prep, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.

Looking ahead, Conneaut Area will venture away from home to face off against Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cathedral Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
