Little Chute has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to square off against the Clintonville Truckers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Little Chute came up short against Denmark and fell 3-1.
Little Chute started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-22.
Meanwhile, Clintonville can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Ripon by a score of 2-0.
Clintonville's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Ripon between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.
Clintonville found their leader in underclassman Maddie Tuma, who had three digs and two aces. Tuma also set a new season high mark in assists with 13.
Little Chute has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Clintonville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-17.
Everything went Little Chute's way against Clintonville in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, as Little Chute made off with a 3-0 win.
