Soccer Game Preview: Monadnock vs. Farmington/Nute

The Monadnock Huskies will head out to take on the Farmington/Nute Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Monadnock has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monadnock is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Wilton-Lyndeborough on Wednesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 6-1.

Meanwhile, Farmington/Nute got the win against Portsmouth Christian Academy on Wednesday by a conclusive 5-1. The result was nothing new for Farmington/Nute, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Farmington/Nute is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for Monadnock, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-3.

Monadnock might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Farmington/Nute when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
