Football Recap: Rossview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rossview lost against Kirkwood back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks lost 39-14 to the Cobras.

Dawson Deer threw for 35 yards and one touchdown. Aiden Cano was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Mason McDowell rushed for 122 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

Kirkwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Miles Reding led the charge by rushing for 51 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries, while also throwing for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes. Jayven Norris was Reding's top target, picking up 95 receiving yards and two scores.

Rossview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kirkwood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Rossview and Kirkwood will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hawks are set to face off against their familiar foe Clarksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kirkwood will challenge rival Kenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
