Softball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 26-5 to the Lakewood Rangers. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lakewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Valley Forge is set to square off against their familiar foe Rocky River at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will take on rival Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rangers have won three straight at home, while the Bucks won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
