Soccer Game Preview: Socorro vs. Pebble Hills

The Socorro Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Pebble Hills Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Socorro has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Socorro is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Franklin, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Cougars are ranked 167th).

Despite a strong season so far, Pebble Hills has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 2-0 to Eastwood on Friday.

Socorro's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pebble Hills, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 10-5.

Socorro might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Pebble Hills when the teams last played back in February. Can Socorro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
