Football Game Preview: Clio Mustangs vs. Brandon Blackhawks + How To Watch

Clio hasn't had much luck against Brandon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. Clio has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clio is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Goodrich on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs took a blow against the Martians, falling 65-14. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brandon hadn't beaten Lake Fenton on the road since September 10, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Blackhawks won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Blue Devils 29-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Clio better keep an eye on Luke Hanson. He was instrumental in Brandon's win, rushing for 179 yards and a pair of scores.

Brandon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Clio, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Clio was dealt a bruising 56-12 loss at the hands of Brandon when the teams last played back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 42-12.
