Volleyball Recap: Carey Comes Up Short

Carey managed to slip by Buckeye Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils lost 3-0 to the Bucks on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.

Carey's offense was headlined by Abbi Seager and Rylie Stoops, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from McKinnley Kessler and her 16 assists. Finally, Seager was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

The defeat snapped Carey's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record. As for Buckeye Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Carey will head out to challenge Bluffton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Buckeye Central, they will welcome Upper Sandusky at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
