Football Recap: Saraland Takes Down Pike Road in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saraland walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 47-12 win over the Pike Road Patriots. Considering the Spartans have won 11 matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Santae Mcwilliams Jr. was his usual excellent self, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Kj Lacey, who threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt.

Although Pike Road took the loss, they still got scores from Mike Jones and Levi Kelly.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Pike Road, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Saraland has already played their next game, a 28-17 defeat against Parker on the 6th. Pike Road does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
