Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Gets the Win

Somerset Academy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the McArthur Mustangs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since March 3rd.

Somerset Academy took McArthur into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 21-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Joshua George paced Somerset Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. George really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 24. Simon Morales controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Somerset Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. As for McArthur, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Somerset Academy will welcome Cypress Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for McArthur, they will head out to take on South Broward at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
