Softball Recap: Redwood Christian Gets the Win

Redwood Christian's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 21-17 win over the University Red Devils. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Lulu Pineda was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rachel Hendren, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Redwood Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Redwood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

Redwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they will take on Lincoln at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
