Clay County has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to square off against the South Harrison Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Clay County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-33 win over Sissonville. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Noah Collins was his usual excellent self, throwing for 330 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Jakoby Nichols was Collins' top target, picking up 132 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Clay County wouldn't let Sissonville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Clay County can thank Christian Bryant and Kohan Ramsey for forcing both of them.

Meanwhile, South Harrison put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 61-34 victory over Ritchie County on the road.
