Basketball Recap: Refugio's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Refugio entered their tilt with Three Rivers on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They claimed a resounding 63-21 victory over the Three Rivers Bulldogs. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Refugio to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bradi Fox-Smith, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Fox-Smith has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Laken Cancino, who posted 21 points and four steals.

Refugio has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Three Rivers, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Refugio will venture away from home to challenge Skidmore-Tynan at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Refugio is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season. As for Three Rivers, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kenedy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
