Soccer Game Preview: Johnson vs. LEE

The Johnson Jaguars will challenge the LEE Volunteers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Johnson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Madison. The win was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Mavericks are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, LEE was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Reagan could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Johnson now has a winning record of 5-4. LEE's draw gives them a new season record of 9-1-1.
