It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gate City had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 victory over the Virginia High Bearcats. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Gate City pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Virginia High, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Gate City will face off against Central Wise at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Virginia High does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
