The Indian Rocks Christian Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Universal Academy with points to spare, taking the game 38-21. The win was just what Indian Rocks Christian needed coming off of a 63-11 loss in their prior contest.
Indian Rocks Christian was led to victory by Malia Stevens and Kayleigh Atkinson. Stevens scored nine points, while Atkinson scored 11 points.
Indian Rocks Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Universal Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Indian Rocks Christian and Sarasota Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Sarasota Christian is ranked 451st, while Indian Rocks Christian is ranked 439th). As for Universal Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy at the Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
