Homestead waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Lynbrook Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

While Homestead might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lynbrook scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Lynbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homestead will take on Cupertino at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Homestead is facing Cupertino at the right time seeing as Cupertino is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lynbrook, they will challenge Monta Vista at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
