Soccer Recap: Harlan Takes a Loss

Harlan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the O'Connor Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Panthers are ranked 103rd).

Harlan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for O'Connor, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Coming up, Harlan will venture away from home to square off against Marshall at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harlan is facing Marshall at the right time seeing as Marshall is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for O'Connor, they will square off against Brennan at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
