While Wednesday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Madden Mendez. He wasn't messing around on Wednesday, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The contest was his ninth straight with at least one stolen base.

Mendez's strong effort led St. Patrick-St. Vincent over Richmond and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
