King has gone 6-1 against Humble recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. King knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Humble likes a good challenge.

King will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Summer Creek, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers took down the Bulldogs 42-28 on Thursday. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dionne Sims out in front who rushed for 168 yards and one score while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Timothy Potts was another key passer, throwing for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: King was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to King's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ricardo Rampersad, Xavier Williams, and Kevin Interiano, who each picked up one sack apiece. King received some extra help from Dillon Mitchell, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, Humble was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 35-3 loss at the hands of Atascocita. The Wildcats have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Humble's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for King, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

King took their win against Humble when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 49-27 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
