Baseball Recap: Wisconsin Heights Drops Season-High Score on Iowa-Grant

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wisconsin Heights). Everything went their way against the Iowa-Grant Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 16-10 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in April.

Reed Adler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Wisconsin Heights is 7-2 when Adler posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Nolan Keith was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Reader, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs.

Wisconsin Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Wisconsin Heights' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Iowa-Grant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Wisconsin Heights has already played their next contest (against Dodgeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Iowa-Grant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
