Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Academy Takes a Loss

Mountain View Academy lost against Summit Shasta back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Black Bears. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-12.

Dominic Miles paced Mountain View Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Miles got some help from Caleb Penaflorida and his ten assists.

Czyrus Reyes was nothing short of spectacular for Summit Shasta: he had 23 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave Reyes a new career-high. Aldrin Guzman was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

Mountain View Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Summit Shasta, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

Mountain View Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against East Palo Alto Academy on the 14th. As for Summit Shasta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Westmoor on the 9th.
