Soccer Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

If Midway was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Manor last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Midway Panthers lost 4-0 to the Coppell Cowboys on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Cowboys are ranked fifth).

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Coppell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0-1.

Midway didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Glenn on the 17th. Coppell has also already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Austin on the 17th.
