Basketball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brazoswood Buccaneers. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Brazoswood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jones will venture away from home to challenge Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazoswood, they will head out to take on Clear Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazoswood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Clear Springs likes a good challenge.
