The Custer County Bobcats will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on the Plateau Valley Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Custer County is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They were beaten by Sedgwick County 58-16 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Plateau Valley lost 36-12 to Dove Creek on Friday.

Although Plateau Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Virgil James Kuper and London Mitchell.

Plateau Valley wouldn't let Dove Creek keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jackson Bevan, Colter Ralston, and Johnathan Cotter picked up one apiece. Cotter's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.

Custer County took a serious blow against Plateau Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2021, falling 60-0.
