Softball Recap: Plainfield South Comes Up Short

Plainfield South suffered their closest loss since April 19th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Minooka Indians by a score of 4-2. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Plainfield South has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Minooka, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Plainfield South will challenge rival Bolingbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Minooka is set to square off against their familiar foe Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
