Softball Game Preview: Oakland Christian Lancers vs. Inter-City Baptist Chargers

The Oakland Christian Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Inter-City Baptist Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Oakland Christian's offense. They lost 9-0 to Plymouth Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Inter-City Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Plymouth Christian Academy, falling 12-1.

Inter-City Baptist saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Zuniga, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Sydney Christie also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Inter-City Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oakland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Oakland Christian skirted past Inter-City Baptist 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
