Basketball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Comes Up Short

Wonewoc-Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 50-43 to the New Lisbon Rockets. The Wolves lost against the Rockets in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-43 score last time.

Wonewoc-Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Lisbon, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wonewoc-Center will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. New Lisbon also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against De Soto at 5:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
