Recap: Patten Academy Bulldogs vs. Apostles Lutheran Falcons
This season hasn't been kind to the Patten Academy Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They fell 52-44 to Apostles Lutheran on Monday. Patten Academy lost against Apostles Lutheran in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 64-37 score last time.
It was another big night for Lamek Medhanie, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds for Apostles Lutheran. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Zhang, who scored eight points.
Patten Academy bumped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Apostles Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing North Bay Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Patten Academy will host North Bay Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Apostles Lutheran will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
