Basketball Recap: Shady Spring Takes a Loss

Shady Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Princeton Tigers 67-22. While losing is never fun, Shady Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Princeton is ranked 25th).

Princeton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abbey Honaker, who posted 16 points. Honaker is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Rose, who put up 15 points.

Shady Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Princeton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Shady Spring has already played their next game (against Independence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Princeton has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Bluefield.
