Mazama is 8-2 against Phoenix since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Mazama and three for Phoenix.

Mazama came up short against Lakeview on Wednesday, falling 23-3.

Mazama saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Lobdell, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Phoenix came up short against Klamath Union on Tuesday and fell 9-4.

Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mazama, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Mazama skirted past Phoenix 7-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
