Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Itawamba Agricultural). They secured a 72-68 W over the Wheeler Eagles on Tuesday. With that victory, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Itawamba Agricultural to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keshun Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Holliday, who posted 18 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Itawamba Agricultural was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wheeler's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Beene, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 25 points along with six boards and three steals. That was a full 36.8% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Beene has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Lowery, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The win got Itawamba Agricultural back to even at 2-2. As for Wheeler, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Itawamba Agricultural has already played their next contest, a 65-58 victory against New Hope on the 20th. As for Wheeler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-72 win against Alcorn Central on the 21st.
