Soccer Game Preview: Opelika vs. Enterprise

Opelika is 0-4 against Enterprise since February of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.

Opelika managed to keep up with Smiths Station until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bulldogs came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Opelika's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Enterprise came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Enterprise might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Opelika's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Enterprise, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1.

Opelika suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Enterprise when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
