Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edison Tommies. That's two games in a row now that the Teddies have lost by just one run.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Edison, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Roosevelt and Edison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Teddies (ranked 269th) will meet Minneapolis South (ranked 112th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Edison will square off against Highland Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (293 vs. 145).
