There's no place like home for Cheyenne Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Vista Ridge Wolves with a sharp 11-3 win on Saturday. Considering the Red-Tailed Hawks have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Schriever looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jansen Roberts was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Nate Glad was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cheyenne Mountain pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vista Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Coming up, Cheyenne Mountain will be playing at home against Discovery Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red-Tailed Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Vista Ridge, they are taking a road trip to take on Rampart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.47 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
