Softball Recap: Edward Little Wins Going Away Against Mt. Ararat

Edward Little had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Mt. Ararat on Friday. The Red Eddies blew past the Eagles 12-6. With that victory, the Red Eddies brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Edward Little let Lauren Bolduc and Emily Poulin run wild. Bolduc went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Poulin went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two runs gave Bolduc a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kylee Lebrun, who went 3-for-5 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Edward Little kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Edward Little's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mt. Ararat, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Edward Little will host Lewiston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Ararat, they will head out on the road to take on Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
