Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Eagles vs. Pullman Greyhounds

The Lakeside Eagles will square off against the Pullman Greyhounds at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeside has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Pullman will come in with three straight wins.

Lakeside fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Lewis & Clark on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 12-7 to the Tigers. Even though they lost, the Eagles' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Kannon Almond was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Kyle Phillips was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Pullman earned a 9-6 victory over Rogers on Thursday.

Pullman pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
