Volleyball Recap: Mclean Extends Winning Streak to Three

McLean waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Langley Saxons by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

McLean was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18.

McLean found their leader in sophomore Jose Eslinger, who had seven digs and two aces.

McLean was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

McLean's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Langley, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, McLean and George C. Marshall will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on the 7th. Langley has already played their next match (against Centreville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
