Daniels heard how much Boston College sophomore All-American linebacker and former St. X standout Luke Kuechly has enjoyed his experience at the Jesuit school. Daniels took that encouragement to heart as he verbally committed to Boston College on Tuesday night.
St. X coach Steve Specht told the Cincinnati Enquirer
that Daniels ultimately felt comfortable with the coaching staff and felt like the Eagles were the right fit.
Daniels, who is 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds, is one of the state's top players in the 2011 class. He also considered Texas A&M, Louisville, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Daniels, who was named Associated Press Division I all-state this season, had 18 sacks and 34 tackles for loss - both school records. He led the Greater Catholic League with 16 sacks during the regular season.
Daniels helped lead a St. X team that was Division I regional runner-up to Huber Heights Wayne. He is the second St. X player to verbally commit to Boston College from the 2011 class. St. X senior linebacker
