Basketball Recap: Simpson Academy Falls Short of Oak Forest Academy in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Simpson Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 82-59 to the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since November 30, 2023.

Simpson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Oak Forest Academy, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 32-2.

Coming up, Simpson Academy and Rossville Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Oak Forest Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
