Basketball Game Preview: Squalicum Storm vs. Ferndale Golden Eagles

Squalicum and Ferndale are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Squalicum Storm will head out on the road to square off against the Ferndale Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Squalicum will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Squalicum got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 64-56 victory over Blaine on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ferndale suffered their biggest defeat since February 3, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 77-49 loss at the hands of Lakewood. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Ferndale now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Squalicum, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.

Squalicum beat Ferndale 57-49 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Squalicum repeat their success, or does Ferndale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
