Baseball Game Preview: Aransas Pass Panthers vs. Odem Owls

Aransas Pass hasn't had much luck against Odem recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Owls at 6:00 p.m. Aransas Pass has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Aransas Pass' last matchup with Taft could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 14-5.

Case De Los Santos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Aiden Ortiz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Odem won against West Oso on Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Owls put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Owls have won six games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Odem, bringing their record up to 9-10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Aransas Pass, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.

Aransas Pass suffered a grim 18-12 defeat to Odem in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
