Basketball Recap: Gaffney Comes Up Short

Gaffney played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Dorman Cavaliers, falling 86-54. The Indians have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Gaffney still got an impressive performance from Zyon Ratchford, who posted 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Ratchford a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Zion Dawkins, who earned seven points and six assists.

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Dorman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Gaffney will challenge Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season. As for Dorman, they will face off against James F. Byrnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. James F. Byrnes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 matches -- so hopefully Dorman likes a good challenge.
